Court reporters covering NAB and Islamabad High court have hinted Nawaz Sharif getting Bail in next week; his case will be reopened under new bench.
Nevertheless, according to the sources, Nawaz will be bailed before 23rd of September. Notably, he will fly out of the country with his daughter for treatment.
The sources affirm that Nawaz pledged not to interfere or disrupt the current government till next general elections to be held in 2023. However, all his cases will be waived off 8 to 12 months before next general elections.
Furthermore, all PML-N leaders including Rana Sanaullah and Former Prime minister Shahid khaqan Abbasi will also be released in coming weeks.
A Pakistani court has constituted a two-member bench to hear an appeal of jailed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif against his conviction in the Al-Azizia corruption case, a media report said on Tuesday.
Notably, the bench formulated by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) consists of Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani that will hear the case on September 18, as per the media reports.
Momentarily, Nawaz Sharif, 69, has been serving a seven-year prison term at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore since December 24, 2018. The accountability court convicted him in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills case which is one of the three corruption cases filed in the wake of the apex court’s July 28, 2017 order in Panama Papers case.
However, Nawaz Sharif and his family have denied all sorts of allegations and maintained that and that the corruption cases against them were politically motivated and a nasty move to sweep them away from the scenario of Pakistani politics.
