PTI leader Aleem Khan to be arrested yet again as Lahore anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued non-bailable warrants for his arrest.
Arrest warrants were issued against him due to his repeated absences in the PTV and parliament attack case.
Khan has been repeatedly summoned to the court to record his testimony related to the attacks on the PTV headquarters and Parliament. The court also ordered to ensure his presence before the court on September 30, after his arrest.
Notably, he is already facing two references pertaining to offshore companies and assets beyond his known sources of income.
Earlier this year, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Senior Punjab Minister Aleem Khan for owning assets beyond his known sources of income, a spokesperson for the watchdog said.
Moreover, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader was taken into custody as he appeared before NAB Lahore. Furthermore, NAB investigated Punjab local government minister in cases pertaining to owning assets beyond his known sources of income and an offshore company.
However, Lahore High Court granted him bail later against surety bonds of Rs10 million. A statement released by NAB following Aleem’s arrest had said that the PTI leader “established multiple companies with the purpose of real estate business and invested millions of rupees”.
